- Billy Glenn Jaynes, resident of the Burrowtown Community near Mason, United States Navy Veteran and husband of Alice Steward Jaynes died Saturday morning, September 8, 2012 at his residence. He was 62 years of age and died unexpectedly.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Jaynes were conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, September 13th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Personal remarks and reflections were provided by Bro. William Harrell and Mike Russell. Interment with Military Honors followed in the Hebron Cemetery in the Bethlehem Community of Fayette County. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Jaynes was born December 14, 1949 in Gadsden, Tennessee, the son of Alice May Howell Jaynes and the late Frankie Farrow Jaynes. He received his education in the Gadsden Public School System and lived in the Burrowtown Community for the past 30 years. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was employed as a truck driver for over 40 years before his retirement three years ago.
